Article 21

     1. The Member States shall bring into force the laws, regulations
and  administrative provisions necessary to comply with this Directive
within  two  years  of its notification. They shall immediately inform
the Commission thereof.
     However,  this  period  shall  be increased to four years for the
Hellenic Republic, subject to its accession on 1 January 1981.
     2.  The  Member  States  shall  communicate to the Commission the
texts  of  the main provisions of national law which they adopt in the
field covered by this Directive.
     3.  Once  the  measures  referred  to  in  paragraph  1 have been
implemented  by a Member State, the provisions of Directive 76/464/EEC
relating  to  groundwater  shall  no  longer  apply in respect of that
Member State.
